  • We walked out after being greeted by a rude host who acted like he was doing us a favor to tell us we had a 20 minute wait on a Thursday at 2pm. Place was visually empty and no one else was waiting! We were seated tableside and waited too long for the waitress to take our drink order and she took a long time to come back with the drinks. None of the drinks were alcoholic either. Too many negative issues while being there about 40 minutes total. We left to spend our $ somewhere else. Waitress was just returning with drinks when we were already up and headed to the door. I wasn't spending my birthday lunch there. Host and waitress need additional training. Not recommending this place.

  • Decent food. If you get the right chef, the whole cooking show can be fun. Many of them can barely speak and the whole thing becomes boring, especially after watching the show from the other tables while waiting your turn. Or last lunch was fun, timing was perfect and Trevor was quite entertaining!

  • Ate here last night - chef was outstanding and service/kitchen just a bit slow but nothing really to complain about since they were pretty busy. But items for management to address: 1. We (party of two) didn't have reservations. We were told the wait would be just under an hour, and taking into consideration that was just an estimation there is some lee way but, we wait almost two hours to be seated. Wife more upset than I at this point. Then when we get seated approximately half of the cooking stations are not even manned. This looks bad from a customer's perspective but should equally look bad to management through bad word of mouth and loss of revenue that could be had filling those stations or at least coming close. Half (I'm giving you credit but I don't think it was half) shows you are not trying. 2. The noise level in the entire restaurant is quite annoying. This is due to the fact that almost everything is a hard surface and noise bounces everywhere. The decibel level is a power sum gain in a close environment, so even regular conversations are magnified, not to mention the occasional "woot woot" being yelled out and followed to other tables. You should not have to lean forward, over the serving counter repeatedly to just understand what the waitress is saying about the menu or taking a drink order. You should not have to raise your voice just to talk to the person next to you or yell so the person on the other side of the service counter can have any type of conversation. (After all your seating arrangements are designed for social interaction, with each other and the chef) - that being said, I know you have to consider the flammability of items due to the type of restaurant you have, but you can easily put up decorative fire retardant rugs on the walls that match style of the restaurant. Could also hang fire retardant items from the ceilings to also breakup and absorb some of the noise. Truly not expecting total quiet but when only my wife is between me and the waitress I should be able to hear her with reasonable consistency. (And this was evident to others at our table and the tables near by).

  • This Benihana was next to our Motel so we decided to go. The restaurant is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We were seated and did have to wait about 20 minutes for our Chef to arrive. Gesper was very friendly, funny, entertaining and very professional! We enjoyed his humor and cooking skills! Our food was delicious! Lots of portions and the price was good. I'll definetely go back again!
