The marina park is divided into two parts - north and south - with the actual marina (behind the San Diego Convention Center) in between. Facing the pacific ocean, it's a cool hangout, especially at sunrise and sunset. The north section has nice green lawns and a gazebo, and borders Seaport Village. The south section looks almost identical but also has a fishing pier, basketball courts and a concession stand. Both sections have exercise stations, picnic tables and are popular with bikers. Going along and past north to the Embarcadero is the San Diego Bay walk, one of the most popular strolling areas in the cuty.
