The historic fire station, now converted in to San Diego's firefighting museum, is over 100 years old. It exhibits firefighting artefacts and memorabilia from the 19th century, including old fire engines and a steamer. There is even a piece of metal that belonged to one of the twin World Trade Centre buildings. The staff is quite attentive and happy to answer your questions. Kids love this place, especially as they are allowed to climb all over the paraphernalia and see how they look wearing firefighting uniforms.
