This trail that begins at La Jolla Farms is not for the faint of heart. You can barely call it a trail. Your path will take you through ravines and gorges seemingly impossible squeeze through. Sometimes you have to climb down ropes. The sandstone is not safe, especially after a storm, which is when things crumble and people get hurt. But if all this is not a turn off, then this can be quite an exciting little adventure. The trail ends at Black's Beach, which is a clothes-optional beach.

Ho Chi Minh Trail, San Diego Reviews - Write a Review
Best challenge I have faced to date. It was fun and suspenseful with all the different things you have to go through to get to the beach. Glad I came out. Definitely recommend.
This is a really cool hike! It can be a bit challenging at times, and also slippery on the route to the beach... So come prepared. The views from the top are amazing!! We hiked to the top then went along the ridge to the Black Beach overlook and took the trail down to the beach from there. Beware there are naked dudes-just so you know-but they're just chilling. We walked the beach back down south and took the Hi Chi Minh trail back up. This hike is a solid 5 stars!
Great little hike, sneakers are sufficient, don't recommend flip flops though.
Amazing climbs down to beaches.
Beautiful area, easy to get to tho parts are challenging - great place for the young and young at heart.
