Over 800 vendors descend into the parking lot of the Valley view Casino Centre every weekend for one of the best bargain flea markets in the state. It started in 1976, and since then the weekly crowds have swelled to around 25000. Produce, gifts, jewellery, antiques, auto parts, weird masks, and interior decor are only some of the varieties of goods for sale. It's best to get here early in the morning, or all the good stuff will be gone. Rummaging has never been so much fun!

  • This place used to be so neat when I was a child. My grandfather would take me with him when he sold baseball cards and it was always so fun to check out all the different things people were selling - from garage sale style items to homemade furniture - it was always interesting. When I went last weekend it was entirely different. They had a vintage market going on which was interesting and I will be going to when they have it again near Christmas. But the remainder of the swap meet felt smaller and less quality than it was 20 years ago. I did pick up a lovely plant from a local farmer - and there were a few others with beautiful plants as well (HUGE orchids!!) so that was a unexpected win. We found some really well priced phone cords from a nice girl who seemed more legit than some of the other stands selling electronics - got 2 10+ ft iPhone extension cords for $12 and they work great - something I was looking at getting for my desk solved. But everything else was a bit messy and weirdly spread out. Way fewer food vendors as well and an odd DJ who kept switching songs mid-track and playing a fun oldies song and then laying bad dubstep over it and ruining it - definitely an odd music choice for a Saturday morning swap meet. I am hoping this was a one off because everyone I speak to mentions Kobey's with such fondness. But it's definitely not like it used to be.

  • Same as always? $2 to get in, not as many garage sale type people in the back as I remember. It's like a strung out street fair in front, we bought heavy metal t-shirts, a guitar capo, and a hippie style bag. Cosmetics, succulents, Surfboards, pins, stickers, house hold products, cheap jewelry, the usual, but an interesting event to peruse, every once and awhile.

  • Love this place. Great way to spend a few hours and find things i didnt know I needed.

  • Lots of variety and pretty decent prices. Merchants are usually willing to drop prices a little, and are always friendly.

  • Great organized swat meet, entrance is a bit pricey at $2 a person use to paying a $1
