This is one of the largest privately owned O scale model train exhibits in the world. The full size is about 2500 square feet. The level of detail is incredible, encompassing a town of a hundred buildings from the 1950s, people in the streets, sweeping landscapes of mountains and lakes and even a large dam. Half of the layout is done in night-mode, the other half in day. Iconic characters like Superman and Marilyn Monroe are included.

Old Town Model Railroad Depot, San Diego Reviews - Write a Review
Very well done! There is so much to see here from the county fair in the small town to a very detailed big city complete with fireworks at the baseball game! My son and i loved it.
Great place to take the kids. We stop in here at least once a month. The staff always goes out of their way to show off the amazing collection of model trains. Love it here.
This place.is.amazing. Lots of details and super friendly people. It's also a great place to get questions answered about model railroading.
There train layouts are absolutely wonderful. So many things to see. We enjoyed scene the building with shotgun Tom Kelly in it. It shows the billboard with him on it and it also shows him getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This is a store that you must see in Old Town.
Very cool place to see a beautifully constructed model railroad. Many very different section, all extremely well built and somewhat entertaining. The only think I didn't see is anything to purchase. I know hobby shops are dying and it's probably not all that profitable.
