This 1925 church in Little Italy is known for its lovely religious murals. They were painted by an Italian who came over from Europe specifically to paint them. It is a pretty little building, not at all ostentatious. See the two statues of the Blessed Mother outside the church. Inside, the ambience is warm and welcoming. There is a small gift shop which offers books, prayer cards and medals. The services are quite popular.

  • Great place for Mass while visiting San Diego. They were in the middle of a restoration process when we were there. So we got a sort of “before and after” because there were unrestored sections right next to restored sections, which really highlighted what a good job they are doing. We were there for Palm Sunday. The mass started out by the street. The priest pointed out that the busy downtown San Diego street is likely similar to the atmosphere that Jesus and the disciples encountered in the way into Jerusalem. That really put me in the right frame of mind for that Mass. The gift shop is worth visiting as well.

  • A beautiful church with a great priest who gave a powerful homily. Parking is difficult, the building could use some air conditioning, and for some reason they didn't serve wine with the Eucharist, but I'd go back every Sunday if I lived in the area. They have a great gift shop and are currently raising money for building restorations. Definitely worth checking out!!

  • I was here on a visit with family and we went to Old Town San Diego where I had bought rosaries. I wanted to have them blessed before my trip and Our Lady Of the Rosary was the only church that was willing to bless my religious items before my trip home to Denver. The Father was extremely nice, kind, helpful, and not only did he bless my items, he blessed me and prayed for me and my family. This Father went above and beyond in my short notice. Thank you Father, I will never forget your kindness, God bless you!

  • First time here and the place is beautiful and wonderful place to go to mass. People were so friendly and inviting!

  • Beautiful older church in the heart of downtown San Diego. Currently undergoing restoration to reflect it's past history. Was able to receive a blessing instead of communion from the Father. I also happen to show up St Joseph's day so there were baked goods and other foods available for purchase. Overall a very beautiful welcoming Church Bass in an equally lovely community
