One of the key players in tourism in San Diego, the sea world is home to a huge assortment of marine life. If you are in sunny California and have had enough of the beaches why not take a look deeper under the sea? The sea world aquarium at San Diego gives you the opportunity to do the same.
You can view as well as interact with the dolphins here. Another fascinating animal you can see is the sea otter playing around. The 100,000-gallon aquarium is loaded with three types of marine life: California bat beams, stingrays and shovelnose guitarfish.
The Bay of Play is must-visit for people travelling with a family having younger kids. The exhibits have been designed in such a way that the children can relate to them. There are quite a few rides and activities that can be undertaken as well. Make sure that you have a considerable amount of time to spend here as there is a lot to be done and seen.

Seaworld San Diego, San Diego Reviews - Write a Review
This place brings back so many memories. Used to get in for free once a year for being a military dependent. So many cool things to see there. I recommend going up in the sky tower. Also, the Manta roller coaster is kind of like hanging on to the back of a bald eagle. In other words, it's very fast and fun.
Great destination to have fun. You got amazing food, nice employees, the Shamu Show was amazing! Except, I would recommend they get more staff. At certain petting stations for fish, I can see some kids grab fish and pull them out of the water to look at them. Although this is rare because most of this happening is parents not watching their kids, if you are planning to go with children under 13 (Unless the kid knows not to) keep a eye every once in a while to make sure they don't do this, the staff amount is dwindling.
As a Military Retiree, I tried ONLINE to get my free tickets. After much struggle and no tickets, I finally called Sea World about the problem and was told to bring my ID to the ticket window and could get in free that way. WELL --- we got to the ticket window and were told that we could only get the comp tickets through the On-Line process. After explaining what i had done, and been told, this nice ticket agent named Greg said he would honor my ID. If Sea World wishes to continue with their Honor Military program, they need to make it easier to do on line. We did have a great time, and hope to be able to enjoy the benefits again in the future.
We have the annual pass + Aquatica package. We also opted to add the meal pass for all of us. About $700 and it's all paid for itself at least 3 times over. Sometimes we come out here just for dinner and a walk. During the holidays the walks are even more enjoyable. I asked my boys if they want to renew their passes for next year. Yes! Of course they do. The staff are really nice and we've honestly have never had a bad trip here.
This zoo is amazing. There is a very large amounts of animals to see, it is well themed, good facilities, and great food. The one thing I really don’t like about SeaWorld is the small enclosures. One of the most unique species in this zoo is the killer whale, which is in the tiniest enclosure ever for how big it is, while continuously having to do shows. It is extremely cruel. Overall, SeaWorld is good.
