One of the key players in tourism in San Diego, the sea world is home to a huge assortment of marine life. If you are in sunny California and have had enough of the beaches why not take a look deeper under the sea? The sea world aquarium at San Diego gives you the opportunity to do the same.
You can view as well as interact with the dolphins here. Another fascinating animal you can see is the sea otter playing around. The 100,000-gallon aquarium is loaded with three types of marine life: California bat beams, stingrays and shovelnose guitarfish.
The Bay of Play is must-visit for people travelling with a family having younger kids. The exhibits have been designed in such a way that the children can relate to them. There are quite a few rides and activities that can be undertaken as well. Make sure that you have a considerable amount of time to spend here as there is a lot to be done and seen.

Lovely place for a family tour. Children and adults will enjoy their various shows alike. Definitely a must go to place in San Diego. We went during the holiday season and took a general pass with general parking and faced no problem whatsoever! The all inclusive food option may be good for real time foodies, otherwise it's not necessary. You will spend less on food per head if you buy it whenever you want to eat.
An out of the world experience! The Electric Eel ride is a thrilling ride albeit a short one. I absolutely love the Manta ride. But the main attractions are the live shows. It boggles my mind the way they train and take care of the mammals and the animals! I can feel the dedication of all the people working with the animals here. The shows were so entertaining especially the sea lions and otter show! They try to put together a parody of TV shows and movies. Absolutely wonderful! The dolphins and the killer whales were a treat to watch. I have been here twice and I was not disappointed both the times! Definitely give it a visit when you are in San Diego
Such a festive place with lights during the Christmas holidays... really enjoyed the whale, sea lion and dolphin shows. The park was beautifully lit up in the evening and there was music and dance and even some characters walking around in costumes.. Kids really enjoy the various rides here and the variety of sea animals.. the penguin area was so cute and the shark tunnel looks awesome.
Came here about 10 years after my first visit. Loved the shows and loved the electric eel roller coaster the most! There are about 5 adult roller coasters, so it's quite entertaining. Particularly enjoyed Santa's village and their Silent Night show...Definitely recommend a trip during the holiday celebration.
Great shows! Friendly staff and great service. Those hams before the shows kept the kids laughing... especially the guy before the sea lions show! The viewing tower is $5 per person but worth it. The new electric eel roller coaster was fantastic and the guy on the mic was hilarious! Eel was fast and a quick line, too. They provided fanny packs and had trays to hold packs and phones so no need for locker to hold your stuff during the ride.
