The children carousing around this park's playground are probably not aware exactly how historic this spot is. It is the spot where the Gaspar DePortola and Father Junípero Serra expeditions met in 1769. Check out the monument commemorating this event. Now it's just a funky looking place to hangout. Right next to the park is the Cancer Survivors Park. If you're looking for food, you ought to head over to the nearby Harbour Island Park.

  • I've only been to Spanish Landing when attending Gator by the Bay - Google it - it is a fabulous Louisiana theme music dance food festival. So excellent that the State of Louisiana even helps sponsor it! Spanish Landing is actually a park. My favorite thing is the gorgeous walkway that wends its way through the park. Hard to describe; worth a look. Great place to bring small children to play.

  • Great plan to walk/run either alone or with the dogs. Fresh air beautiful scenery. One of San Diego's best!

  • Tranquil spot to kill a little time begore picking up or dropping off family / friends at the airport...Public bathroom, under a min away from the airport. Great spot to take in a humbling sunrise or sunset.

  • Cute beach. Shower. Great for stand up paddle boarding. Nice place to float a kayak.

  • Unfortunately my reason for being there was for my only(big)sisters sudden death. Just flew in and needed some time to breath. It was really pretty. Looking at the boats and then seeing the yachts. Wow! It was nice and quiet with just enough noises around you. Clean! Parking right there.
