The Torrey Pines Golf Course, is a great place to try your hand at this sport of the elite. Located over beautiful vales and picturesque hills, this municipal golf course is a real sight to see.

With 18 holes in two separate courses, you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon at the tee enjoying the scenery while playing this sport that requires both patience and precision. It isn’t far from San Diego so you will reach in less than 20 minutes.  The best part about the golf course is the amazing views of the neighbouring sea that it provides. On a sunny afternoon the golf greens contrast beautifully with the sea not far from here. If you are a newbie stick to the North Course though. The south Course is known to test even the seasoned golfers but you can always take a whack at it. The place is perfect for business tourism or even a day out with family or friends.

  • I made tee time a month ago, coming from Dallas, tee time November 7. They did tell me the greens would be punched, but the greens were just fine. But they did not tell me they were over seeding. There was tons of bare spots all over the course, sand everywhere and watering going on all day never had a good lie even in middle of fairway. “Sloppy”. We had to drive thru the sprinklers to get to next shot. Carts on path only. Very expensive for what we expected, extremely disappointed.. if they would have let us know about course conditions we we could have found another choice for the money.I play public courses in Dallas for $50 that are in awesome shape, they don’t have the views but the fairways are so plush.. and greens nicer. very disappointed... Pro shop was awesome but golf course was a 2 out 10. Again don’t get me wrong I’m assuming spring, summer probably gorgeous but we spent $250 on golf and probably $400 in pro shop and the golf experience was not anything we expected. Ask questions before you book tee time..

  • Great courses, unbelievable views, and nice facilities. The one negative is the cost. The land was donated a century ago to have golf courses for the working people of San Diego. But the courses have been hijacked by the luxury hotels and the Century Club. The price to play has been raised way beyond what an average worker can afford. Instead the tee times are taken by rich tourists from the local hotels...

  • Incredible public golf course. If you live in San Diego, get your residents card and play here when you get the chance. Both the North and South courses are awesome. Scenic views that are unmatched by any course in the area.

  • What can I say... It's Torrey Pines Golf Course! I've got a San Diego resident card and it ran me $62 (which is great), but to rent a cart was $40. We played Torrey South and loved it. The guy we paired with was from out of town and he paid $204 just to give you an idea. If you're an avid golfer, this course is a must. The pic is the 3rd hole, par 3.

  • Fantastic setting for a course. The staff is friendly and the course is well kept especially considering the public nature. The rough is kept shorter than some championship level courses.
