Noe Valley, first properly developed after the 1906 earthquake, is now famous for its many pretty Edwardian and Victorian style homes from that time. It’s one of the most expensive places to stay in San Francisco. Tourist-wise, walking around appreciating the architecture of the row-houses is fun. There are a lot of places to eat, and the cuisine is very varied. The nightlife is decent. On Saturdays, there is a farmer’s market that draws heavy crowds.
