  • The hotel is lovely and the service is great. Upon arriving, it was my partner's birthday so the staff gifted a very nice (very expensive) bottle of wine to celebrate. They also helped us book Alcatraz tickets, stored our bikes for a short period of time and some of the staff learned our names and genuinely seemed to care about how we were doing and what we had planned for the day. Great location too. Took the BART to and from the airport with minimal walking from the nearest stop.

  • It's close to Union Square. The staffs are nice and helpful. The valet parking service is not good with only one person at the table and you usually have to wait for 15 minutes before getting the car in the middle of the morning. The hotel room is normal and a bit outdated. There is a club on the top floor with complementary coffee, tea, and chocolate but no water. The fitness center is small but the coed jacuzzi is a nice addition.

  • The rooms are nice for San Francisco. It has interesting amenities like a TV in the bathroom mirror. The hot tub is a bit of a joke it only seats 3 people. It's in a great location.

  • Of all the big and famous hotel names that surrounds the Donatello, none can match the low key, laid back atmosphere that personifies what California is all about. No bowing and scraping here. Excellent service, accomodations and more.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at the Donatello for the weekend. With its great location, we walked to the Orpheum to see a play. Later that night we walked to Union Square for some shopping and dinner. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great weekend!
