The Walt Disney Family Museum Reviews & Ratings

  • This place is AMAZING. If you love Disney it's a must see. I would say it's not meant for kids, more adult oriented. They tell you it'll take about an hour and half to get through, I was there for three hours and probably could have spent more time. There is so much history, lots to read and fun stuff to interact with. It's a great journey through Walt's life and by the end I nearly joke. They also have a Cafe that serves coffee and food and some adorable Disney inspired pastries. Yum! Come spend the day, have lunch and check out the gift shop! If you're lucky the volunteer named Mark will be there, he's wonderful!!

  • As I am a huge fan of anything Disney, this was a perfect experience for any Disney fan alike. Getting to see a real history of Walt and his family on how he really came about was great. Also seeing real artifacts from not only what Walt had created, also things that were created in the Disney name. Such a perfect location with a small Cafe. Well worth the money we spent. Strongly recommend doing both exhibition and the museum. With taking my time this took roughly about 2.5 hours to complete and I didn't read or look at every little detail. Amazing work all around a great experience for family or some that are "just" Disney fans. ;)

  • This is a must visit for any Disney fan. You get to learn so much about Walt Disney and the origins of what we know as the Disney company today. You can spend an entire day here and marvel at all the amazing facts and displays available. Currently there is a Mickey and the World special exhibit, which is great, but not as large as you'd expect and located in another ancillary building. The museum also includes a nice cafe and gift shop. Parking is fairly easy, but you still have to pay.

  • This is a museum about Walt from his humble beginnings through the ups and downs of his creative endeavors. It’s well done and in typical Disney style, it’s clean, organized and the buttons and interactive displays actually work! It takes 2-3 hours without the special exhibits or film and it’s costly (also typical Disney), but if you are a Disney fan, it’s worth it for the back stories on so much of what Walt accomplished. Don’t be surprised when, at the end of the tour, you land at (wait for it...), the gift shop. Can anyone say “Disney experience!”

  • This place had such a deep explanation on Walt’s childhood and history that is definitely worth exploring. It is so chock full on exhibits that if you looked as carefully as I did I am sure you could spend a few visits here and not see everything. It’s excellent for a Disney fan or someone who needs a little inspiration.
