Uss Pampanito Reviews & Ratings

  • Very good WWII sub near pier 39 in San Francisco. Good audio tour taking you through the whole submarine ship. $20 for adults and $15 for youth. They give a pretty significant discount for military. Lots of good history. Kids really enjoyed it(age 11 and 12) as did I (age...older than 12) Worth the money in my opinion.

  • I loved getting to see the inside of a submarine for the first time. It was fascinating. The audio tour was good, but I had to listen to most of it after I finished the tour, because I didn't want to get in the way of those touring behind me.

  • Worth the price. However, they need a family plan that will allow for more family members at a reduced affordable price. My grandkids didn't go aboard because of the number in the party. Kids missed out because of high price. I have been aboard every time I am in The City. Great adventure.

  • I visited this with my 4 year old son. He loved the ambiance and the peeks into everyday life for the crew. It was a good opportunity to teach him a little about what the submarine was doing... especially the Japanese flags on the torpedo tubes left an impression on both father and son.

  • A lot if world War history captured across a half a mile walk... A must visit place and also for the museum of mechanical games which is along the side (which has many a pre war mechanical games restored and kept in functional condition). Found the entry to the ships museums a bit costly though (20$ fie each), but just try if you are a history buff
