I've always liked West Portal station because of its unique design. Because it isn't completely underground or fully enclosed the cellular coverage is excellent (at least mine is) I catch a metro train to West Portal & transfer to the 48 most days because I prefer the laid back easy going vibe of West Portal to any of my other options.
Quick ride to downtown. You can't take your bike on the trains, but you can park at the station and get downtown without having to go all the way over Twin Peaks.
Great station. Unique design.
