Parque Zoologico Simon Bolivar, San José Reviews
Beautiful, quaint, not a tourist trap (signs are wonderfully informative with no English translation) a few blocks from the hotel. Perfect place to chill and kill a couple hours. Only $4 all day.
I like this Zoo Park, but diffenetly they need to have real help, like a good sponsor support for reconstructions all territory and cages, make animals life much better... I hope, some day someone will take care of this Zoo and all little friends of human beings will feel much better, with no stress... An this good place will again flowing and blooming! God help them please!!! 🙏🏻
We loved this small, quirky, but interesting zoo in the wait time between landing in San Jose, and our bus to the rainforest. It had many interesting animals and while themed for local children, we left quite happy after using up our 2 hours of free time
I wish they had more options for food and souvenirs, but otherwise this was a very cool zoo. Good animals and the entry is only $5. Make sure to try to get the green parrots talking!
No tigers lions rhinos elephants but it has all sorts of snakes birds and tropical reptiles
