Happy Hollow Park And Zoo - Review
The Happy Hollow Park and Zoo is another great family entertainment place in the city of San Jose. It is a zoo and an amusement park in one enormous complex. If you are travelling with kids, this multi-attraction is not to be missed.
The zoo area has an amazing variety of healthy animals on display. Kids will love to see the mammals, birds, and reptiles in fascinating displays. The wild cats are a definite must visit.
The amusement park area is full of excitement and a lot of fun. The merry-go-rounds and rides are a hit with the children while the adults can eat yummy street-food at the kiosks. Even besides these there are quite a few interesting attractions like the crooked house, the lookout and the ranch exhibit. With so much to do it is the prefect weekend getaway.

Happy Hollow Park And Zoo, San Jose Reviews
Great place near downtown San Jose for a day's trip, especially if you have kids around. They will just love it. For the price you pay for admission ($14.25 for anyone over 2 years), and food is extra, you get to have a lot of fun! Check out their website for memberships and other deals. Must visit if you are in San Jose and will recommend it to everyone as a day's worth of trip. About the zoo, nothing much to write home about, but it's the park that is actually pretty awesome and clearly the showstopper. Kids dig the rides, spacious greenery and very peaceful atmosphere once you are in! Have fun folks, thank me later!
Great place for younger kids to go. I took my toddler here and he loved it. Not many rides that he could sit in but the Zoo section was very interesting for him. The have a lot of picnic areas and the central play area is great. the only thing they might be missing is a small water park or something similar. They have plenty of picnic areas that can be reserved for bday parties. Look out for any additional discounts on the entry ticket like senior citizen, AAA membership... Overall a great experience. Location works really well for me and there is plenty of parking.
Happy Hollow Park and Zoo is a wonderful place for kids to explore and learn; while, at the same time having fun. The Hollow is a combination of a amusement park (miniature version for kids) and zoo. Discount. Don't forget to ask for your discount especially if you're a member of a different zoo. We were a member of San Francisco zoo and the discounted price for the Hollow is $7.50. Big reduction. If you're not a zoo member, there's still a discount for triple A members ($11.50 after discount).
Our family loves Happy Hollow! The park offers two small zoo sections - one even includes a little petting zoo with goats (bring quarters to buy pellets to feed them! There is also a hand washing station in this area.) Beyond the little zoo areas, the park offers - a carousel, a crooked house and slide, a massive jungle gym (one for little kids and one for big kids), a small roller coaster, a puppet theatre and ~7 additional carnival-like rides! It does get hot over there and shaded seating is limited so don't forget your hats, sunscreen and water. Parking within their lot costs $10, but a lot of our friends choose to park off Alma & Senter and walk over. Entry into the park is $14.25 per person (ages 2-59), $11.25 (ages 60+) and visitors under the age of two are FREE - They do offer several extensive options for annual memberships, which you can find listed on their website (our family often purchases one of these memberships). This facility is clean, the staff has only ever been friendly and the animals are all lovingly cared for. We've enjoyed hours of fun at Happy Hollow and will continue to visit during our time in the Bay Area.
Great park and zoo for younger kids (under 10 perhaps?). They don't have a lot of big animals but the rides and playgrounds more than make up for it. The place is not super big, so it's easier to get around with little ones. The rides are included in the price of admission. We've been members there for 4 years now and my kids still love it!
