This is an amazing place, however I would likely enjoy it more in spring as the waterfalls are more powerful. It was like a trickle compared to the video I have seen. The melting snow in spring makes for a spectacular show.
Yosemite is a true wonder of nature. It's a must see - from all the famous and well visited landmarks to the out of the way paths. Spend at least one night here and get away from the lights to see the milky way painted across the night sky. It's a stunning view and you may be lucky enough to see a few shooting stars too.
An amazing place. Well worth the 4 hour drive from San Francisco. It’s $35 to get into the park for a vehicle. Roads are twisty and windy so drive carefully. The View and scenery make everything worth it.
Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra. First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.
