La Placita, San Juan Reviews
A great collection of bars, restaurants, and clubs in one place. Plenty of locals and tourists alike will show up to have a great time. There is seating indoors and there are benches outside. Most restaurants will have indoors and outdoors seating, also. A good selection of food to choose from but the environment will draw anyone over to this place. It is a must place to visit when visiting San Juan.
It's a fun place because of music, food, and drink offering. Also great people watching. Don't stay out too late there though. Didn't give 5 * because people leave do much trash on the ground.
One of my favorite places on the planet, La Placita Santurce is a vibrant party district with a huge selection of music, dancing, and food experiences at a variety of price points. Locals and visitors seem to celebrate together and the spirit of Puerto Rico unifies everyone. Kids play while parents and grandparents chill at tables in the closed off streets, and young people weave in and out of dance floors with the delicious, hydrating local beer in hand. During the day, bars shut up and a local produce market dominates the central area. I can't wait to get back there.
Excellent ambiance. Friendly environment. A lot of history. Beautiful murals. Many restaurants and bars to choose from. Excellent nigh life, but also great to visit during the day to shop for island foods at the market.
Excellent area to come in a bunch of people and have fun! It is a group of bars and restaurants in the streets around the Old Santurce's Market Place (Plaza de Mercado). They have different types of menus, drink and amusement environments, according to their visitors age and likes. You can find around from live Salsa bands, Bohemian Singers w/guitar as well as places with Kareokee. Sue you will enjoy. Don't miss it!!!
