It is one of the best beach I've ever visited. Unfortunately it was cloudy and raining in between so I couldn't see the exact colors, but had a lovely day. Floating in the beach as it was raining with a spectacular view of El yunque forest and the atlantic ocean on other side. The beach was very clean not so crowded and calm.
This is one of the clearest beaches I've been to back in Puerto Rico i defiantly recommend going down there as soon as possible (bathrooms cost 1-2$ each)
It's a beautiful clean beach. Friendly locals. Easy access
Nice family beach with low waves and a netted area for swimming. Very shallow for hundreds of yards and plenty of shade for bbq and parties.
We went to the free part of Luquillo it was dirty and there where so much noise and loads of people too. While the water is relatively calm, I would not go back, and would suggest that anyone avoid the free part of the beach if you are looking for a great beach in puerto rico. There was so much trash on the ground, broken beer bottles, pieces of glass. Very dangerous for a young child playing in the sand or anyone not wearing sandals. Also, the water was very cold, and in the water it isn't fully sand but more like a few pebbles and sand and trash. Noisy, not that great wouldn't recommend to anyone.
