Punto De Vista, San Juan Reviews
Wonderful restaurant! It’s on the rooftop of a nice hotel in old San Juan. Gorgeous rooftop balcony views, fantastic and attentive waitstaff and the food, my God! So delicious!!
Amazing happy hour specials and the best/friendliest staff. Cool rooftop space and great food. Highly recommended 😀
Great food. Good happy hour drink specials. Bad service. We had to ask three times for water for the table and a soda for the teenager with us.
My family and I had were looking around for a good place to eat after touring the two forts and we decided on this place after reading some reviews. Holy **** I wish they had one where we lived. The atmosphere to start was something out of a tourism ad, the lights at night made it feel surreal! We asked to be seated outside and were pleasantly surprised by the choice of seating being used rum barrels. The one gripe was that the seats were a little uncomfortable to start with but we got used to them. 4.5/5 The server we had was very kind and respectful whilst still attending to our needs. He explained the menu thoroughly and helped us understand the food there. It was the day after christmas so service was a bit on the slower side but was understandable. 4/5 The food was some of the best things I have ever tasted in my life. I had the chicken mofongo with the garlic cream sauce, and it was delicious. The mofongo, while being made from yucca instead of plantains due to shortage, was still delicious with the garlic sauce, and the hot sauce you could buy for 25 cents. My son was an extremely picky eater and only ordered rice and beans, but even as sides they were diving, plenty of beans and the rice was authentic. My wife had the chicken tacos, which were cooked perfectly along with the rice and beans, and my daughter had the vegetarian mofongo with the sweet tomato sauce. Personally I prefer that sauce over the garlic one but you may like the other. All in all some of the best food of my trip! 5/5
Very good food but some portions are very large. We were four people and as our main dish we ordered three entrees and one side and we barely finished it all. If you get the option, definitely sit outside! The view can't be beat and a cool wind keeps you cool.
