My wife and I took our 6 month old daughter here for the first time to get some cute family photos. This is one of the most amazing local places on the central coast to visit. It's got breathtaking scenery and all kinds of Wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables grown right there on site. It also has all kinds of fresh baked pies and stuff like that. They have all kinds of neat Barnyard animals for the kids to look at and you can even feed them from the palm of your hand. They have a pumpkin patch, hay maze, you name it. I've been going there since I was a small child with my parents. It is truly one of the most beautiful places on the Central Coast! My words can't even begin to do it justice!
This is such a cute place. They have so many things on sale and to buy from fruits and vegetables to books and toys. The animals at the barn are always fun to see. Plus during fall they have loads of pumpkins! You can either get your own or just take a picture with them. It's always a blast to visit.
We visited Avila Farm with my sister and her family and it was surprisingly fun. There is a wonderful farmer's market that has some excellent local picks. The kids loved feeding the animals and seeing the different types of farm animals up close. They do not charge for visiting or parking which is very nice.
Whenever we are camping in Morro Bay, we always take a little side trip to Avila Farm, especially in the Fall of the year. The leaves on the trees are turning and the many piles of pumpkins with all colors of orange are just beautiful. I love watching the children get so excited seeing the assorted pumpkins, all shapes and sizes and then visiting the farm animals. The cute little farm store is full of anything a woman would love to make her house a home and the day would not be complete without a scoop of wonderful ice cream. Give it a try next time you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.
You have to ride the tractor at least once in your life. Definitely a family place, so enjoy take pictures and experience the best during fall. A farmer's market that's connected too the actual farm. Hand pick you're own fruit and vegetables. You should explore the surrounding it's beautiful.
