This island is situated in the middle of the Donosti Bay in between the two most important mountains- Urgull and Igueldo. It has very steep sides and the rocky terrain which makes it even more difficult to walk on it.

The island has a small beach that is seen only during low tide. In spite of the abundance of settlements, there are life guards available as people have now made it their summer vacation destination. Apart from this, there is also a lighthouse.

The island supports a number of exotic plant species such as French Tamarisk, Lawson cypress, giant cane, black poplar, birch, common fig, black locust tree, oval leaved privet, Japanese spindle, herb Robert, common bracken, clover, rock samphire, etc.

• It is just a 30 minute Ferry from the main port.
