Hearst Castle Reviews & Ratings
Unlike anything I've seen on the West Coast. I felt like I was back in Italy. The Grand Rooms tour was fantastic. We went with small children in mid Aug and the weather was great! You park and get shuttled in. It's not stroller friendly. You have to walk up stairs. Bring water. No food or gum is allowed. And be prepared to keep your paws off! Its tempting, especially for little hands. Some of the architecture is 300 or 400 years old. The ceiling in one room was from the 1400s. I highly recommend staying until closing to get your money's worth.
Very nicely curated museum mansion from the 20s - 40s. We took the Designing the Dream tour which focused on the bed chambers and sitting rooms of the residence. It was an excellent alternative to the standard tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. Lots to see here and worth the repeat trip.
Beautiful place to visit! Amazing architecture and historical art pieces. A great place to go with family and friends. Great educational tours. loved the pool! Amazing views and wild life.
Just beautiful - we took the Grand rooms tour. Had some time after the tour to walk through the garden and around this incredible pool! (No swimming in it though 😉) - I'd suggest anyone interested in history, old Hollywood, or architecture to visit and book a tour.
Love love love Hearst Castle. Our tour guide was amazing and super funny! The entire setting and all of the rooms were stunning. Loved the entire experience, we only wished we would have stayed longer to do the other tours. Couldn't believe all of the wildlife we saw either. Beautiful scenery. Visited last month and will for sure be back!
