Porquerolles Island - Review
Situated just off the Mediterranean coast, Porquerolles islands is part of two other islands that belong to the ‘ilesd’or’ or Golden islands. The biggest of the three the islands, is a beautiful space to be in away from the bustling noises of vehicles. This is a place where you get up with the chirping sound of the birds in the morning and the gentle sound of waves rather than horns honking, right outside your window. There are beautiful sand beaches with azure and crystal clear waters, lush green pine forests and much more. There are many hotels and restaurants on the island for relaxation and refreshments. Protected strictly by environmental laws the place is a green paradise.

Porquerolles Island, Sanary-sur-mer Reviews
You can Discover this island by food or bike - there are like 7 rent shops. For beaches stay on North part, south is very rocky and access to water is full of stones. On bike you can see all the fortresses in one day.
Amazing island. Make sure to take a ride with the bike (some challenging hills included), play petanque at the town square, enjoy some lavender ice cream, go swimming and make sure to enjoy the view!
The boat tour to the island is 72€ for two person. On foot it isn't possible to see a lot of the island. We rented bikes but the bikepaths are more heavy Mountainbike paths. Bike rental was 16€ per bike a day. The island is nice but it is difficult to see everything cause you don't got enough time to get around the island. The Boat arrives at 11 am and leaves at 5 pm. You should be at the pier about 4 pm. If you arrive later you won't get a seat and you need to stand for one hour. And then remember the 72€ bucks you paid. That is just ridiculous. And there are no informations in English. The whole tour they just spoke French so that you couldn't gather any information about the surroundings. In the evening I was and that I went there. By the way... The beaches aren't that nice. There are nicer ones like indie beach which I can really recommend.
Beautiful island... rent a good bycycle and you can explore the beaches and great view of the sea.. calm and quiet.. enjoyed my day...
Place that seems light years away from the Côte d'Azur
