Udaygiri Caves - Review
Travelers who visit Sanchi also visit the famous Udaygiri caves for a pure indulgence in ancient art and architecture. A stroll through these caves will introduce you to the local art that finds a strong presence even in today’s world. These caves were established by ChandraguptVikramaditya, after defeating Shak's' in the 4th and 5th Century A.D. Today, they symbolise the unique identity of Gupta art and architecture. Rich in artistic expression, they offer you an insight into what constituted art in ancient India. The beautifully moulded capitals, the design of the entrance gateway and the architrave work as a string course around the structure making it look appealing as well as intriguing.

Udaygiri Caves, Sanchi Reviews
This place is good to visit if you are explorer and close to history. There are large rocks which are easy to climb. you need a lot of time to explore it completely. You can have best time in evening as you can have sunset view there. This place is also good to have photo shoots. You have to took your own food there.
The place is nice for trekking but certainly has not been maintained well. A good place to visit if you are interested in history. Not the best place to go for outing though!
Historic place. Great view from top of hill. Visit during monsoon to see the beauty of the nature. Near sanchi stoop can be visited both on same trip.
Best place ho hangout. Lot of caves, rocks, greenery. Perfect place to spend time with your loved ones.
This is a cluster of small Caves, all in a vicinity, depicting various hindu deities. Carved out of rock it is of high historical value. The top of the rock is good to hangout and double up as a weekend picnic spot.
