Monterey Veterans Memorial Park Reviews & Ratings

  • I been staying for 4 years every month of May, and always Found or share the camping spot with someone else. John, very straight forward person. I like him a lot. Very helpful, sad to see him , go. He is retiring. Clean park. always has to bathrooms, hot, showers, beautiful park. Playground for your kids. A lot of trees. We loved this place. Hard to find spot. You have to be early in the morning to be on the line. Or midday people, leave at the time 3 nights Only. No reservations. First come basis."

  • Nice Hiker-Biker-Site with hot showers. Very friendly and supportive staff. Thumbs up to Chris and his fabulous work.

  • A decent campsite with a good dump station. But, like most county or State campgrounds, don't expect the spaces to be very level. Plus, watch out for overhanging trees in the park, and on the road leading to the park.

  • Beautiful and challenging hike with an entrance of 180 plus steps and matching rolling hills just for miles. Did get lost for a minute so be prepared! Lol. The locals are absolutely sweet and welcoming when passing by. Gorgeous peaks of the ocean in certain areas.

  • This place was unexpectedly great. The campsites were very intimate and were nicely laid out. You could show up at all hours relatively easily and still find a spot. And the best part were the HOT 🔥 🔥 showers, which were free :-)))
