  • Yes, it is kind of expensive but especially during the warm weather months when both the outside and the inside are open its well worth the price. Not just for kids either, we had a party of 16 and the adults had just as much fun as the little ones. If you go with a group definitely worth convincing everyone to split the cost of a cabana. Again, pricey, but you get your own safe, nice lounge chairs, and food/beverage service. If you plan to stay for a full day its a big plus to have a "home base". Important to note they also have cheap spectator passes if someone is just really not into water rides.

  • My family and I reserved 3 adjoining rooms (a "village" as employees here call it). Upon checking into our room, we immediately observed how filthy it was. I went to place my laptop on the kitchen table to discover it was sticky. I next went to the kitchen to make dinner and discovered the refrigerator and stove were also filthy. Fluids were dripping down the couch, hair and crumbs were in all of the beds, the floors were not swept. Basically, not a single thing was clean. When we alerted the office, I woman came to our room and agreed that the room was not acceptable. She told us we were "lucky" because they could move us to a similar room (in my opinion, it was Kalahari who was lucky to have another room). However, nobody was really lucky because the next room had a different type of stale smell in each room. In the second room, a bedroom was musky and the rest (living room, kitchen, other bedrooms all smelled like month old stove grease. Despite our blatant and justified unhappiness, absolutely no true attempts were made to make this situation fair. We spent thousand(S) of dollars for a couple nights here as well as rented a birthday room near the waterpark and yet I genuinely feel that I receive better service at generic hotels such as Days Inn, Best Western, Marriott, etc. I will never spend my hard earn dollars here ever again nor will I recommend others do so when this use to be a yearly birthday stay here for us. It appears that service quality within this facility has plummeted.

  • Stayed in the Sands section of Kalahari Sandusky. Room was very clean and tidy. Ate at the Ivory cafe and took the server's recommendation and got the nachos, oh boy was that good advice. BEST NACHOS EVER! My son and I had a blast in the wave pool and Coral Cove is a great place for small children like him to have fun and be safe. We'll definitely be going back to Kalahari Sandusky in the near future.

  • What can I say that hasn't already been said about this place. It is quite the escape. The indoor water slides are tons of fun as I found myself continuing to get right back in line every time that I finished. I wish the the rooms were a little more updated but the staff compensates in helpfulness. It's a little pricey but its not like I come here every other weekend. Great for family's

  • Fun enough, went with a friend for a weekend getaway. Room was nice, having a spot for a chair in back was nice. This place is mostly aimed at kids. The bar/club they had is gone. There is swim up bars firvadult only, that are inside and you can swim outside. That's very nice but can't spend too much time in there its a giant hot tub. Can't have shoes even water shoes. We had a room that went right out to the outside park, but the outside park closed on us. We had to walk dripping wet freezing, (you could not take the towels our of park) and barefoot all the way around and through the hotel to get back to our room. Not a fan of walking through lobby and hall way after hallway barefoot and in a wet bathing suit.
