Ohio Veterans Homes Military Museum Reviews & Ratings
I tried to get in to the museum a couple of years ago. I had spoken to a gentleman who promised to be there and be opening it up on a certain date and time; and I drove approx. 80 miles to get there only to find it closed. It was very disappointing. My great-great grandfather lived there from 1904 to 1916 when he died there. I had donated a binder about him and his service a few years earlier when a kind lady had headed up operating it and the hours were more reliable, and I wanted to add to my binder because the library at the museum is supposed to be up and running now, but I was not able to do that since I couldn't get in. Don't bother to go next door to ask about the museum as the Ohio Veterans Home itself does not operate the museum. So sad.
Great museum, great way to spend some time and learn more about area's role in the military, also a library and whole section on Johnson's Island, some materials for sale, donations accepted.
Great place to work.
If you haven't, you should go see. 👍😀
