Dedicated to Lord Mahadeva, nestled in the serene settings, this temple exudes piety and calmness. On festivals, it sees hoards of women who gather around here and celebrate the beauty of the traditions in all light and colors. Constructed in the Yadava Style of architecture, it was built in the 13th century. The temple is situated at a distance from the city, inside the forests. There’s a flower shop and a fruit vendor nearby, who can provide you with the appropriate material for the worship. The temple is beautiful, with carved walls and chiselled monolithic pillars to grace the place.

Beautiful monument with greenery around it and amazing ambience. Visit specially during rains. Amazing climate. No network :( and many stalls are there to make sure you aren't starving. One more plus point is that.. There are washrooms.. I mean too good...
This place has changed over the years to only get better. The temple is located in a very secluded place I would say with a lot of trees and streams flowing around it, while that being said there are numerous sign boards that give proper directions to the temple. The Mahadev temple has been carved out of a single huge rock and has a interesting history to it. There are small stalls for snacks like cold drinks, chips and water. The entire area is well maintained and peaceful. Overall a great place and a must visit places of Goa for history enthusiasts!
Little heaven like experience.. visited today morning while coming back from Goa to Pune.... was there for an hour but our heart is there still.. must go if you find Serene, quaint, tranquil beautiful....no network.. opens at 8:30.... Water stream inside the temple premises rejuvenated us and ample opportunities for selfie lovers too😉 will definitely not regret.
Small but beautiful temple. Very peaceful and cool surrounding with garden and fresh water stream...
One of the best monuments in Goa from the history point of view. The temple is carved from one huge stone as per what my school teacher taught me. Very fascinating. The temple gates close by 5:30 pm. We saw people jumping the fence and getting in the temple after 5:30pm. The temple lacks a decent rest room, so much space for improvement of this heritage tourist attraction. Various food stalls serve light snacks, lemonade & tea just outside the temple.
