Nice place to buy local specialties or just visit. The market is vibrant, well organized and very clean. Even the seafood section looks spotless! You can find all types of product here from foods to house plants and souvenirs.
We visited the old farmer's market and we loved it. IMO, the local administration is doing a great job promoting the highlights of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Or the tourism office. Anyway you're doing a good thing with the market. The place is not very large, but diverse and comprehensive. Also, the mercado is a real marketplace for the locals, not a showplace. The restaurants and bistros are very good as well.
Fruits vegetables, lots of tatties. Fish and meats. Also a puckle tables selling hand crafted items. Worth a visit.
All types of vegetables and exotic fruits, meats, cheeses, spices and flowers. A Must for the chef's and cooks.Very historical place.Bars inside and outside around the market, well worth a visit.
Excellent to walk round. If you're arriving on a cruise ship go left from the shuttle drop off and you can't miss it. Plenty of sites to see and things to buy. We also enjoyed the main shopping strip.
