Surreal. We visited the park by car and there was lots of traffic during the day. We had to wait for a parking spot for some time, but it was worth it. Nice hiking and photo possibilities. Offers a beautiful night sky as well, but remember to take warm clothing with you. In addition, the park and its surrounding corona forestal offers birding and other nature observing opportunities for the interested. Enjoy!
Had the pleasure of hiking Teide with my brother, we were able to get the passes to go to the peak of the volcano. Well worth the trip, and the view from the top was incredible. Get there early (9am) so you don't have to wait hours to take the cable car. Highly recommended for experienced and non experienced hikers!
Impressive parc. Nice walks and an interesting climbing area, grading is quite hard, and the lower grades are (re)bolted in an conservative style. Volcano is worth the visit, even the summit walk (permit required) is impressive. Better take one way ticket for the cable car if you plan to stay more than 1 hour. 2 way tickets expire after 1 hour.
This volcanic area is about as close as you can get to Mars without leaving earth. There are great walks (from easy to hard). There are cafes at three places along the main road. A cable car takes people to within 200m of the summit, but you need a government permit if you want to go to the summit at 3700m.
Absolutely stunning place to visit. Even though it was busy everyone had plenty of space. We booked the cable car ride to go up the volcano but sadly due to the high winds it was cancelled. We had no problem getting our money back. It can get a bit nippy so it's advise to take a jumper
