Main Beach Reviews & Ratings
Its pretty crowded and can get really cold sometimes, but other than that its a great place to have fun or to just hang out and watch the waves as they crash onto the sandy shore. Whats especially nice about the main beach is that its connected directly to the boardwalk which hosts many amazing time occupants!
Wonderful little beach with that classic Californian vibe. Beware: the water is much colder than you will expect! Keep and eye out for sea otters (harmless) and sea lions (stay away) and enjoy that beautiful beach culture.
A nice and sandy beach. Packed with people during the day. A great place to go as family. Enjoy the walking along beach. Remember your sunscreen!
A great spot to hangout on the beach and have closer access to all kinds of games, carnival rides, food, and shops. A lot of fun!
Lived my entire life in the Santa Cruz area and I've been going to main beach almost every week as far back as I can remember. The sand is fine and soft and the waves have places where they get pretty big for those who like to buggy board and areas with usually smaller waves for kids. It's almost always clean as can be and their is more than plenty to do near by. Restaurant, the boardwalk, hotels for sleepy travelers just a short walk away.
