The Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz is one of those rare sites where one can themselves visit and check out the apparent anomalies in the laws of nature. Both gravity and basic physics seem not to function over here. Mysticism aside, the Mystery Spot is actually a tilt-stimulated optical illusion, where the peculiar tilt of the floor helps in disorienting the visitor, making their perception of height, depth and orientation go awry. Leave the physics to one side, and visit the Mystery Spot for an unforgettable time.

Mystery Spot, Santa Cruz Reviews - Write a Review
The Mystery Spot is simple but unique, in a positively beautiful location. Our guide Rory, was fun and informative. He showed us the mysteries of gravity and how it didn't seem to apply in the same context as the rest of the world. While in the house, I can't deny that there was something strange happening. Walking was a new challenge and I had a temporary headache just in the house. The second I was out, all was good. So mysterious.
Hope was a totally awesome tour guide! I took the tour by myself while on a work trip today and it was a blast. The "$8 jokes" were great. The location is surreal. And the mystery is real! Thanks for a great memory guys!
Great fun and inexpensive tour. Worth the stop. Makes for great pictures. Be careful as you drive up as the road is narrow. Twice truck and fire engine pulled to side to let us through. Also, because of the nature of the attraction it is no wheelchair accessible I'm my open since you have to hike up a short, steep incline. One of the people's on our tour was unable to enter due to mobility issues so I would recommend to ask before you purchase tickets.
I came in here with really high expectations, and unfortunately the Mystery Spot did not deliver. Although the 45min tour was cute and sprinkled with "dad jokes", the main attraction is one shed on top of a hill. The gift shop is actually a bigger structure. Even if you're passing by the area, I wouldn't recommend it.
Nice Spot - worth a visit if you have time to. Kids will get the most out if it. Especially on weekends or during vacations ensure to book tickets in advance via the website as otherwise you might wait from 8 am to 8 pm before you get in. Negative: HotDog - cannot recommend to try it
