Located between Main beach and Cowell’s beach, the Santa Cruz Wharf is a behemoth of a structure that goes deep into the sea. Sprawling a length of 836 meters, the wharf is the longest on the whole of West Coast. Apart from giving an astounding view of the Pacific waters, the wharf is also home to a number of restaurants, wine tasting rooms, gift shops, small markets and candy shops. A fun activity also to do here is observing the sea lions who climb up to the base of the platforms of the wharf and can be seen lazing around.

We were visiting family and we wanted to check out the west coast beaches. The weather was beautiful. The sea lions were hanging out under the dock. Our kids were very happy to see animals in their natural habitat. There are a handful of restaurants to try on the dock. The view is breathtaking. I wish I brought some binoculars. The beach is very different from the Florida coast. We were able to see a whale come out of water from a distance. The dock needs some updating but overall the experience was nice. This area could be a whole day out for the family and kids. They have also have a amusement park in walking distance along the beach. We also go to see surfers catching waves.
Beautiful scenery of the ocean and the sea shore around the pier. We got the see sea lions a lot of surface and the waves were beautiful. There are many places to eat and drink no lack of entertainment I would recommend this to all of my friends or anybody who is reading this survey .
I've always loved Santa Cruz, the Beach Boardwalk and the wharf /pier since I was a kid. All 3 are near each other and everything is within walking distance!. The food is always up there with the best you can get on the pacific coast as this is one of the best little Nor Cal surf towns that we have in Northern / Central California!
Santa Cruz Wharf is a good place to visit with family and kids. It is a heaven for non-vegetarians and sea food lovers. Entire area is scenic. Sea lions and that too in large numbers is an additional attraction. One can see live fish catching. Number of restaurants is located on Cruz most of which have got roof tops. Better, if one can visit in the morning to enjoy fresh breeze but evenings during the sunset are also amazing. Visit to Cruz can be of half day as amusement park is located at walking distance and can be seen from the Cruz. Entire area and nearby located amusement park is too good for taking ‘n’ number of pictures but Dock and its surrounding areas must definitely be much more cleaner.
Excellent place to visit! We went in the early morning, when most businesses were closed and we saw and heard the seals and seagulls. It was amazing! And romantic. Great views. Great pictures!
