Woodies Cafe Reviews & Ratings

  • #obsessed with this place. My best friend and I literally come here every time we visit Santa Cruz. The clam chowder in a bread bowl is a seaside classic that they just do so amazingly well. Best friend got the popcorn shrimp last visit which was also super yummy. The view of course is absolutely beautiful. Prices aren’t too bad considering location since this place is right on the wharf. Does tend to get busy, but service is still usually pretty quick. If you are in Santa Cruz I would highly recommend Woodies!

  • Amazing service! Food came quickly and the chowder was the perfect consistency. The seafood combo was beautiful and delicious! The guy who took our order was funny and kinda cute! I think his name was Danny. If he's not in charge he definitely should be! Wonderful location!!

  • Meh....keep walking down the wharf. We were starving and this is the first restaurant you walk past on the pier. The food was okay. I had the fish tacos. There really wasn't any flavor and the beans a rice arrived cold. My husband had the open face crab sandwich with chowder, tasted like canned seafood. Our son had the hambuger and his was good. Which is why I'm giving it a 3 instead of a two. Really I'd keep walking down the wharf if you want better than just okay food.

  • Snapper was great, fries were bomb, service was decent. Food came out super fast!! Prices were different online than they were in store though. Inviting family atmosphere and the logo is the best for photo-ops!

  • Average food with awesome view. We ordered clam chowder and calamari, they were alright.
