Harrell House Natural Oddities Reviews & Ratings
So glad we looked this place up. My friend's 4 year old is obsessed with scorpions. I was looking for an exhibit for their visit and found Harrell House. We went and got to view the scorpions with a black light and even watch feeding time. The tarantulas, snakes, and monitor lizard were also very cool.
Best bug museum in the Albuquerque/Santa fe region. It's at a weird location next to Ross but still a respectable exhibit. I was impressed by their pinned insect collection. Their dedication and technique is unbelievable. Even to the tiniest mites. It was also quite enjoyable to see their two axolotls in person, one of them named aptly toothless.
An unexpected pleasure. From the outside I didn't expect much, but it turned out to be a fun and interactive experience. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Very interesting time. Would definitely recommend.
My five year old loved it! He got to hold a snake and touch a cockroach. The museum is a bargain by Santa Fe standards and the staff want you to learn and have fun.
I loved this place! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and so are the bugs. I was even able to hold some of them!
