  • I love this place! It’s an obligatory stop every time I come to Santa Fe. I enjoy learning from Tony about the methods of producing quality chocolate, and they have the best drinking chocolates. They’re also generous with samples, in case you need help deciding what to get.

  • Great experience tasting the different chocolate beverages they have there. Don't call it hot chocolate! If you are not sure what to get make sure to get a flight of beverages. If you were looking for an old school chocolate beverage like the Aztecs used to drink and you want it hot (spicy) make sure to get the chili flavored beverage. The rose and the lavender are also two other fantastic chocolate beverages. Take a chance and taste some history.

  • This is delightful and rich and decadent! The staff can give you a history of the chocolate while you sip it from a cup. No, it's not hot cocoa or hot chocolate. It's liquid chocolate. A perfect tea party.

  • Kakawa is an experience that you won't understand until you go there. There are several sipping chocolates that have been specially prepared and are waiting to be tasted. You can sample them and decide which one will warm you to the core. There are other amazing chocolates in the form of truffles, brownies, etc. The sipping chocolates FEEL medicinal and good for the soul. The people there serving the chocolates, ice cream, other delights are knowledgeable and friendly. Enjoy your personal experience there!

  • Beautiful little spot - so warm and welcoming even when busy. We came in with 4 children under 5 yrs old, we were undecided, excited, and had a big and varied order. Everyone who helped us was kind and patient and seemed to be happy to be there!. I believe it was the owner who gave us an extra chocolate ice cream. EVERYTHING was wonderful. I had the coconut hibiscus elixir and bought some chocolates to take home. We had the aztec brownie, coffee ice cream, berry sorbet in the shop all enjoyed 100%. I am still savoring the truffles - each so tasty and a bit unique.
