Santa Marta has a local steppe climate with seasonal rainfall and little to no variations in the temperature throughout the year. Average annual temperature is around 28 degree Celsius and precipitation levels on an average are less.
Dry Season: The months of December to April receive very low amounts of rainfall and the temperatures usually vary from 22 to 30 degree Celsius depending on the time of the day.
Rainy Season: March to November have very high precipitation levels and the temperature is usually a few degrees higher than the annual average. Usually October is the month with the highest rainfall levels.
