  • Absolutely love the concept and feel of this place. Went on a Friday night and it was slammed, hard to move around. Drinks tasted a bit watered down (lots of ice), but same cost as everything else in that area. I would recommend getting there early to get a decent spot for the evening to chill.

  • Loved the layout of this place. This is a truly American place and an inspiration for every traveler from overseas. As much as I love our underground bar scene in Berlin, this place is out of league.

  • Very nice bar! Good wibes, very nice people. You need to dress up a little bit but it clearly is worth it. Beautiful place. It feels like (or maybe it is really) a house ! Some queues at the bar but it’s ok given the quantity of people there. Will definitely go back again!

  • Favourite place in LA! amazing soulful backyard and different rooms, cozy space and a wicked table tennis table outside

  • Ah, The Bungalow. This is the place to see and be seen in Santa Monica. There's really no other venue like this on the Westside. To start, whenever I come with friends, all I can think is, "Where did all these models come from?" They don't frequent Santa Monica during the day so they must commute here after dark for cocktails. Not sure on this one. I've never really experienced customer service here, but I don't expect it. The bartenders are slammed with orders and they're constantly running low on product. One time, I waited for 20 minutes for water (I don't drink) and they told me they didn't have any. If you're coming at night, plan ahead. It's exceptionally crowded after 7pm and almost impossible to get a seat. The rooms are packed to the gills with fraternity types and I've seen at least one person get kicked out every time. You'll most definitely see a girl teetering on her stilettos on the way out and yelling at her Uber driver over the phone. There's a lot going on here and if you're into people watching, this is the place. The Bungalow still gets strong stars because of their waterfront location, the unique interior design, progressive floor layout and good cocktails. You will probably spend most of your time here wandering through the rooms hoping someone doesn't knock the drink out of your hand. But you know what? You still can't beat a bar that is air conditioned by the salty breeze off of the Pacific Ocean.
