Although it sounds like a monotonous place, the Villanova War Cemetery is a place of great interest. This Canadian war cemetery is located near the River Lamone, outside the village of Villanova, in the province of Ravenna. Since it was originally meant to be just a battlefield cemetery, it was selected as the cemetery for the 5th Canadian Armoured Division, and you can find a lot of the heroes of the division buried here. Although predominantly Canadian, there are a couple of British soldiers here as well. It is a quiet, well-maintained cemetery and is visited by tourists who want to pay respect to the war heroes.
