Went there in the early afternoon so we didn't see the sunset. But we could certainly imagine that it would be a very nice spot to see the sunset. But given how crowded it was already during the day it's probably not your private romantic spot to watch the sunset...
A deeply personal sunset away from the crowds and drones of fira and oia. Small car park get there early and bring wine and food!
Too many people. No buses come here. So if you walked here expect to walk to akrotiri to catch a bus. Nice sunset though.
Skip seeing the sunset in one of the expensive restaurants in Oia and rent a scooter, packed a picnic and beer and head to the Faros Lighthouse. The ride is nice and easy and renting a scooter instead of a quad will make parking easier. I recommend hitting the roadside bakery that you’ll pass if coming from Fira for your picnic - great food. Get there at least 30 minutes before sunset and bring a light coat or sweater if seeing it late Sept and beyond.
One of the best sunsets i have ever seen! Get there early to grab a spot, wear sneakers cause you will be climbing.
