  • The Municipal Market is a huge warehouse located in the Centre of the city.  You can go by car and park it in one of the many Parking lots nearby.  These parking lots are not like your usual parking spot, don't be afraid your car will be there when you come back.  Wear comfortable clothes, it gets very hot inside.  Once inside you will be waking among hundreds of small shops where you will find almost any kind of food.  Vegetables, seafood, poultry, spices, bakery products, beverages and many more.  Be patient, the Market is usually full of people.  You can have a nice meal or snack at a either the small shops on the ground floor or at the restaurants located in the mezzanine level.  If you go at noon be ready for long wait.  A one to two hour visit would be more than enough depending whether you stop for a byte/lunch or not.

  • Cool market, nice stained glass. However, do watch out for the FRUIT STANDS! The do make up their weighing prices as they go. If you're after a nice drink, there's a wonderful Craft Beer place that's been opened for 5 years. The staff are friendly, and they have all manners of Brazilian beer - if you like craft beer, this guy knows his stuff!

  • It's so unique! You can find some many different fruits and foods. And the people....😁😁😁 everyone so nice and friendly.

  • Located inside a beautiful 1930s building, the market is vibrant. There are many stalls selling interesting fruits and meats, along with tiny bars and restaurants mixed in between. The second floor has some larger restaurants. The vendors are pretty pushy, but that's part of the charm. Worth visiting but it's not in a great part of town.
