  • Summer review. Free entrance. Preserved buildings with its history depicted on paintings and writings inside some of the rooms. It's nearby the other tourist spots so take time to check it out.

  • At the center of the city and a best place to learn the history of Sapporo and Hokkaido. The classic european style building is still very much preserved until today. Free of admission and they have a good english explanation on their exhibition section.

  • nice preserved buildings with garden. I came in the end of April, nice weather no rain. Lots of tour groups in the morning breaking the sound of silence;(

  • Photo stop, mini-museum and a good break to warm up. Museum showcases history of Hokkaido's development but most exhibits are in Japanese. Free admission.

  • Good photo stop, in winter the red building stands out in the snow. The building has few exhibitions and historical information about contested islands in between Hokkaido and Russia. When we went there's a light projection show at night which was beautiful.
