The Maruyama Zoo is simply where the fauna from all over the world is placed lovingly in Sapporo. The Zoo is home to Polar Bears, Squirrel Monkeys, Giraffes Hippopotamus, Reptiles, raptors among other animals and also has special museums for tropical animals, apes and kangaroos.

If you are travelling with children, the place will keep your tiny tots busy with educational tours with trained care takers and after a long day you can grab a quick bite at the Zoo’s Cafeteria and explore its gift shop.
