Moerenuma Park - Review
If art and nature could be merged seamlessly, it would be at the Moerenuma Park. The park is designed by Isami Noguchi is one of the best landscape projects you will come across while in Sapporo. The park is known for its aesthetic modern fountains, geometric additions to its greenery, the iconic cherry blossoms which embellish the park during spring and the winter wonderland which it turns into for skiers and snow-sport addicts!
The place is ideal for people of all ages and is a must during your sojourn in Sapporo.

Moerenuma Park, Sapporo-shi Reviews
This park is very cool! we visit on winter. You can rent a rubber boots if you want to walking or playing snow in this park. There are no entrance fee
Relaxing place. Lots of green area. Mt. Moere can by easily climbed via steps (about 200) or through the unpaved slopes. Its a place where you can unwind during weekends.
My favorite park. I visit Moerenumakoen every time I am in Sapporo, where the kids can run free. definitely worth visiting different seasons of the year.
This place is huge. There is no entrance fee which is all the more reason to visit it. To get here you take either bus# 69 or 79 from the Kanjo-Dori Higashi station bus stop, it's approximately 25mins in transit. The park has bike rentals on its east entrance near the bus stop. It's around 100yen/hr (as of June 2018) which is relatively cheaper than the other bike rentals I've experienced in Japan. The place is well-maintained, the first building you will encounter is the glass pyramid which also houses a restaurant to grab a bite from. The whole park can be biked in around 20mins at a leaisurely pace. This is by far one of the best places to visit here in Sapporo.
Spectacular views from atop the hills. The Cafe inside the Glass Pyramid has a very well priced lunch bento. There is a fountain show at 10h30m, 13h15m and 16h30m.
