Vrelo Bosne - Review
The locals have been coming around to this lovely little natural retreat for over a hundred years now, and in that time, it’s gained enough popularity to be hailed as one of the country’s top natural beuties. And to think that the NosnianWarcould have taken all that away; the trees here were indiscrimantely chopped down of rheating, and if not fotr the efforts of a team of youth ecological leaders, the park might never have been restored.
The attraction here isn’t just in the river, it’s in the parkland surrounding it; the place has a lovely network of roads to be walked. 12 kms away from the town, it’s near untouched (the odd cafe doesn’t really feel intrusive). Feed the swans and stretch your legs – this is a slice of paradise.

Vrelo Bosne, Sarajevo Reviews
Beautiful and clean. Happy they started charging entrance fee. 2KM (~1€) Glad they banned grilling outdoors, but I wish they would ban our "eastern" neighbors from bringing in gas bottles for cooking their food/tea. The spring itself seems to be again cleared up for drinking directly from it. Few years back it was not so. Seems that at least some laws are finally being implemented.
Perfectly serene and utterly beautiful surroundings. The water clarity is beyond description, as are the lush green mountains all around the park. There is a small parking lot just outside the entrance (2 KM for an hour, 5 KM for the day), although there appears to be free "street" parking along the road leading up to and beyond the entrance. There is a fee to enter the park (2 KM person), and we were allowed to bring our two dogs into the park (provided they remained leashed).
Lovely smaller nature park with springs. Not much of things to do there thou. Picnic spots, small restaurant, some rent a bike options. Can't swim there since lakes are to small and protected. Lots of trees so it's cooler during hot summer days.
Very nice place to visit if you want to enjoy the nature. It brings peace, calmness and joy. We had a great time with the kids. However the restaurant service was below average. We have ordered extra dishes after we ordered first time and we had to remind the waiter about them!
It's a beautiful day out in wonderful nature, excellent trout at the restaurant and reasonable entry fee of 2BAM per adult. Highly recommended. Suggest taking the horse carriage at least one way or each way if anyone has trouble walking as the walk is quite long from Ilidža.
