The Wawanosh Wetlands is a nature reserve in Ontario Conservation area. It consists of a number of wetlands located in the south-western Ontario and is home to the endangered North American Waterfowl and other migrating species in this area. Over 700 species of flora and 220 species of birds are recorded in the reserve. Apart from that, a plethora of mammals, amphibians, fish and reptiles are found in abundance. The location of the conservation area within the Mississippi and Atlantic Flyways favours the heavy influx of the migratory birds. The lake river reservoir is perfect for those who love fishing. A hike through the forest and the marshland will offer you the native and migratory birds and animals. There are also picnic facilities inside the reserve.
