Coit Tower, also known as the Lillian Coit Memorial Tower is a colossal 210 feet tower in the Telegraph Hill neighbourhood. Built in 1933 in Pioneer Park, this magnanimous tower boasts of Art Deco architecture and the fresco murals along with two paintings. Three nesting concrete cylinders together make the tower. The outermost shaft is 180 feet and supports the observatory platform. An intermediate shaft contains a staircase, while the inner shaft has the elevator that will take you to the 32 feet high Observation Deck with an arcade and skylights above it. There is an exhibit space and a souvenir shop at the Rotunda. From the observation deck, you will enjoy panoramic views of San Francisco including the bay, Angel Island, Alcatraz, Treasure Island and the Golden Gate, and Bay Bridges.
