We absolutely LOVED this inn - I will never stay anywhere else in Savannah again! I was shocked that a place that looked so nice was the cheapest option on Memorial Day weekend, and even more shocked when we arrived and I saw that it really was as nice as it looked on the website. They have maintained that charming old style that you never see anymore, and it such a refreshing joy to stay in a hotel like this rather than all the newer ones that are exactly the same. The room was so comfortable and the whole place was clean, very quiet, and the staff were incredibly friendly and generous. Right away a gentleman carried our bags (even insisted on carrying my camera bag!) up to our room and gave us a tour of our wing. At breakfast time, the staff made sure we had everything we needed, and at checkout they chatted and joked around with us before we took off. So friendly! I will never stay at any other hotel in Savannah again!
This place is amazing!!! My husband and I love everything about 17hundred90. The staff is so genuine, friendly, and welcoming. The rooms are adorable, and the food is incredible. Even if you don't stay here, please go eat there. It's such an experience. There is a blonde bartender with black glasses that is wonderful, too. We always look to see if he's working! We've also stayed at the Indigo and The Marshall house and decided this last trip that 17hundred90 is only place we want to be in Savannah :)
Atmosphere was definitely traditional and old....but very clean and staff were very accommodating. No worries of rude or noisy guest. Comforting and relaxing stay
This is an historic hotel, be prepared for quirky rooms, no elevators, and maybe ghosts...just kidding. The staff here are outstanding! Always friendly and really helpful about the hotel, parking, directions and things to do. The rooms were fine for a 200 year old building but do need better maintenance/painting. A/C and wifi was good, shower water was plentiful but not really hot. Noise level well controlled. I was a bit worried about the rusted through fire escape, but didn't need it. Breakfast was just adequate. There was plenty to eat, but most was pre-packaged goods, and crowded around coffee, toaster and microwave. No full service or opt-out option available. The room price was more reasonable than many of the other historic Inns, so take price/value into consideration. I might stay here again with revised expectations, but would go elsewhere and splurge on breakfast in one of the other places around town.
Amazing decor. The rooms was beautiful in line with the 18th century decor. The staff is very polite and the food was good as well. A little disappointed with the free breakfast options, though it is know for its dinner
